Who we are
Little Farms was organized in 1953. We are part of the New Orleans Association of the South Central Conference of the United Church of Christ. The UCC stands in the tradition of progressive Christian churches. We were the first denomination in the country to ordain an African-American, a woman, and an openly gay person.
Our church is committed to growing in our faith and serving our community in various ways. We understand the gospel of Jesus Christ as being wide and broad and a family into which all are welcome.
We affirm each person as a child of God and we invite everyone, of every race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, financial situation, and recovery group to walk with us in a faith journey responsive to God’s call.
